AEye sets up $50M share-sale facility, swapping out its 2024 ATM deal
What's the deal? Lidar maker AEye has entered a new at-the-market (ATM) sales agreement with A.G.P./Alliance Global Partners, allowing it to sell up to $50 million of common stock over time. The company, which trades under the ticker LIDR, disclosed the agreement in a September 2026 SEC filing.
How it works: Under an ATM deal, a company sells new shares into the open market at prevailing prices rather than in a single block. AEye controls the pricing, timing, and volume, and has no obligation to sell any shares. A.G.P. earns up to 3.0% commission on gross proceeds; Craig-Hallum Capital GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → serves as financial advisor for up to 1.0%.
Why now? The new agreement replaces a prior ATM deal AEye struck with A.G.P. in September 2024. The company terminated that arrangement with no early termination penalties, effective upon signing the new one.
What's the endgame? AEye said net proceeds will fund working capital, R&D, capital expenditures, and general corporate purposes. It also flagged commercial expansion in the aerospace, defense, and infrastructure markets.
The signal: The facility gives AEye a standing option to raise equity on its own schedule over the next 36 months, a common lever for smaller listed companies that want flexible access to capital without committing to a fixed raise.
