What's the endgame? The Toronto company helps enterprises in traditional industries — logistics, utilities and energy, telecommunications, financial services, and manufacturing — build AI fluency and deploy agents across sales and customer support. Those agents answer product questions, qualify inquiries, book meetings, route service requests, and update connected systems, passing complex cases to a person with context.

Why now? For many enterprises, buying access to AI is only the start. Without practical fluency, teams can spend hours rewriting prompts and correcting outputs without building repeatable processes.

"An enterprise can spend heavily on AI while its people are still guessing what to ask, what to trust and what to do with the answer," said Hao Sheng, founder and chief executive officer of Expertise AI.

How it works: The company's forward-deployed engineers work with customer teams to pick a starting workflow, connect existing knowledge and systems, and set what an agent should know, which actions it can take, and when a person should step in. Each customer gets a virtual private server for its agents and can choose its own models, including open-source and open-weight options. Once a first workflow proves its value, enterprises can reuse its knowledge, integrations, and rules across other teams.

By the numbers: At Circuit ElectricDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Hydro-QuébecDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →'s public EV charging network, Expertise AI reported a 22.35% reduction in contact-form submissions among engaged website sessions, with impact within 60 days. Its study also cites 557 customer contacts avoided in December 2024.

The signal: The round sits in roughly the top quartile by size for comparable deals, a modest but notable vote of confidence. It reflects a growing bet that the AI adoption gap — not model access — is the real bottleneck for traditional industries.
