Bohemia Interactive buys minority stake in Everwind maker Enjoy Studio

What's the deal? Bohemia InteractiveDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the developer behind DayZ and Arma, has acquired a minority stake in Polish studio Enjoy Studio. The value was not disclosed, but Bohemia said it marks its first investment in a Polish video game company.

Who's Enjoy Studio? The team makes Everwind, a sandbox survival RPG that has sold more than 300,000 copies within six months of its early access launch. Bohemia published the title and now becomes a co-owner.

Why now? The two companies have worked together since 2024, when Enjoy joined the Bohemia Incubator, a program through which Bohemia acts as consultant and publisher to outside teams. That collaboration deepened into the current investment.

What's the endgame? Bohemia framed the deal as a long-term bet on the studio rather than a single title. "This investment is not about a single game. It is an expression of our confidence in the talent of the entire studio," said Marek Španěl, co-founder and chief executive officer of Bohemia Interactive.

Enjoy chief executive officer Michał Baraniak said the deal will provide a solid foundation for future growth.

The signal: Bohemia's move reflects a wider pattern of established developers taking equity in the smaller studios they publish, converting incubator relationships into ownership stakes and locking in talent early.
