REAN Care Foundation backs Epilepto Systems with ~$16,000 for meditation app

What's the deal? REAN Care Foundation (India), a Section 8 not-for-profit company, has invested US$20.4K (roughly $16,000) in Bengaluru-based Epilepto Systems Private LimitedDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a platform for meditation, pranayama, yoga, mantra, and spiritual practice.

What does DhyanApp do? The app treats dhyana, pranayama, mantra, and yoga as one connected body of knowledge with its own structure and progression, rather than short generic relaxation exercises. AI personalises yoga, Ayurveda, and spiritual guidance to each practitioner's level and stage.

What's the money for? Priorities include personalised guidance, expanding the practice library, and digitising traditional Indian scriptures. DhyanApp uses optical character recognition and AI audio processing to render those texts into 15 languages, putting works historically confined to a few languages within wider reach.

Why now? Structured access to well-taught contemplative practice in India is uneven, concentrated in certain institutions, cities, and languages. The Foundation frames the app as a way to put instruction on a phone, in the practitioner's own language.

What's the endgame? As a Section 8 company, REAN Care Foundation will not distribute any returns as profit; proceeds go back into its charitable objects. Its board recorded that the investment is expected to advance the Foundation's not-for-profit objectives, with plans to open the platform to community programmes and practitioner groups.

The signal: The deal is a small, mission-driven bet that pairs traditional Indian practice with AI at consumer scale. It reflects a broader push to digitise and translate cultural knowledge that has long depended on scarce teachers and limited languages.
