KOMPEITO, office-snack startup, lists on Tokyo Stock Exchange

What's the deal? KOMPEITO, the Tokyo-based operator of workplace healthy-food service "OFFICE DE YASAI," listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's Growth Market on September 11, 2026. The company, founded in September 2012, is led by chief executive officer Shun Watanabe.

What's the endgame? KOMPEITO wants to become "the infrastructure supporting the food and health of working people," Watanabe said. It plans to expand through partner companies and connect regional producers and food makers to office customers.

Why now? The listing caps a business built on OFFICE DE YASAI, a service that treats offices as a new distribution channel linking food producers with consumers. Watanabe said the service grew from "problem awareness about primary-industry distribution" (translated from Japanese).

What's the endgame beyond snacks? The company runs three products: OFFICE DE YASAI, an in-office promotion and sampling service called "OFFICE DE MEDIA," and a salad vending machine with dynamic pricing called "SALAD STAND."

The signal: KOMPEITO's debut adds a corporate-wellness play to the Growth Market, betting that employers will keep paying to support staff health while opening a channel for regional food producers to reach urban offices.
