Logivolt lands €300M loan to wire 1.7M French parking spaces

What's the deal? French operator Logivolt has secured a €300 million loan from banks of the BPCE group to install collective electric vehicle charging infrastructure in residential buildings. It aims to equip 26,000 buildings and 1.7 million residential parking spaces by 2030.

How it works: Logivolt finances the shared infrastructure with no cost passed on to the co-ownership association, after which users individually install their own charging points. The scope covers private co-ownership buildings and social housing — segments where collective decisions, upfront costs, and grid connection can slow rollout.

By the numbers: The new loan lifts Logivolt's cumulative investment capacity to nearly €500 million since its founding in 2021. It adds to €190 million already committed by the Caisse des DépôtsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, France's public investment bank. The company says it has secured favourable votes in more than 8,500 co-ownership general assemblies.

Why it stands out: At €300 million, the debt round ranks in the 91st percentile of all fintech debt deals on record — a large financing for the sector.

Why now? France's EV market is accelerating: electric cars made up nearly 35% of new car registrations in July 2026, per Plateforme automobile. Private parking is becoming the main charging venue — EnedisDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → counted nearly 1.6 million charging points among private individuals at the end of 2025, against around 185,500 publicly accessible ones.

What they're saying: Olivier Sichel, chief executive of the Caisse des Dépôts, said the deal gives Logivolt the means to "make ecological transformation a reality across all territories," according to remarks relayed by the institution.

Logivolt chief executive Pierre Eymard expects home charging to become routine. He said he is convinced that within ten years, charging one's car at home in the evening "will have become as much of a reflex as charging one's phone before going to bed."

The signal: As EV adoption climbs and public chargers remain scarce relative to private ones, residential parking is emerging as the decisive lever for mass adoption — and financing the shared infrastructure, not the individual points, is the model backers are betting on.
