Founded in 2021, the company automates routine investment-banking work, including building slide decks and Excel models, for clients such as JPMorgan ChaseDealroom has a profile for this one. Why now? The new backers push Rogo's total to nine global banks on its cap table, together holding a combined $20 trillion in assets. The company said the investments show it is becoming "a platform of choice" for leading financial institutions.

What's the endgame? Rogo plans to expand beyond investment banking into wealth management, according to The Wall Street Journal. President Rahul Rekhi said the move is early but would automate similar work, including portfolio reviews and analysis of client relationships to support more bespoke advice.

The raise follows a larger round earlier this year, when Rogo secured $223 million at a $2 billion valuation. The $30 million in strategic capital ranks in the 31st percentile by size — modest against the year's biggest AI deals, but backed by the industry it sells to.

What they said: "Their decision to invest in Rogo is another clear signal that AI for this industry has shifted from experiment to infrastructure, and that the industry has found a strong partner," chief executive and co-founder Gabe Stengel said.

The signal: When the banks Rogo sells to also fund it, the line between customer and investor blurs — a sign lenders now see AI tooling as core plumbing rather than a bet worth watching from the sidelines.
