Try Dealroom →, the Dublin-based cybersecurity startup, has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by MiddleGame VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, with participation from existing investor Elkstone. Founded in 2023, the company helps banks and payment providers manage and reduce cyber risk across their merchant portfolios.

What's the endgame? ZeroRisk combines risk monitoring, compliance, training, guided remediation, and protection services on a single platform. It aims to dominate the emerging risk orchestration segment of the payments processing market, giving providers a portfolio-wide view and merchants a clear path to act.

Where the money goes: The funding will support global expansion, further product development, and the operational capacity needed to deploy the platform across large merchant portfolios.

Why now? Merchant cybersecurity programmes have traditionally centred on annual compliance checks. But smaller businesses now face fraud, stolen credentials, website vulnerabilities, and attacks on connected devices — risks that go well beyond compliance.

"Payment providers have tried for years to control merchant risk through annual compliance checks. That's no longer enough," said Gary Nolan, co-founder and chief executive officer of ZeroRisk. "Our job is to give payment providers a portfolio-wide view and merchants a clear path to act."

Traction: ZeroRisk already works with payment providers including Bank of AmericaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Global PaymentsDealroom has a profile for this one. It expects to triple revenue in 2026 as contracted programmes move into delivery and its international customer base grows.

The company operates in Ireland and the United States, with offices in Dublin, Atlanta, and Longford. Nolan said ZeroRisk has "made the move from proving product fit to large-scale deployment."

The signal: At $10 million, the round sits in the lower tier of funding rounds by size, reflecting a still-early stage. Yet it points to growing appetite for tools that turn payment providers' compliance obligations into revenue — bundling value-added security services for the merchants they serve.
