Pluto Finance flagship fund tops £500M as it eyes continental Europe

The details: The evergreen development and property lending fund focuses primarily on the UK and has surpassed £1 billion in total financing. Its capital comes from long-term investors including pension funds and insurers.
Why now? Alongside the milestone, Pluto is pushing into continental Europe, targeting 20% of financing from markets including Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, and Portugal. It has also introduced multi-site revolving credit facilities for UK housebuilders.
What's the endgame? Pluto specialises in development and bridging finance for real estate developers and housebuilders. It has provided more than £4 billion of development and investment finance since its inception in 2011.
In their words: "Running an evergreen vehicle with capital provided by long-term investors like pension funds and insurers allows us to run a lending business that puts borrower relationships first," said Mario Ioannides, managing director, UK. He added that over 65% of the firm's development lending continues to be to repeat borrowers.
