Sorare's backers return for new round as it targets profitability

Growth and profitability: In a September 2026 update, Julia said Sorare's net revenue grew 85% year over year in the first half of 2026. More than 100,000 Managers bought cards during the period, above the levels seen during the 2021 growth wave. Sorare plans to return to profitability by the end of 2027.
Product momentum: The company said more than 1 million new users joined in the 18 months before the update. Earlier in 2026, Sorare launched Arcade, a free-to-play game mode that Julia described as a strong hit. The company is preparing the Sorare 27 card reveal, a new Arcade Set in early September 2026, the return of NBA in October 2026 and further products aimed at expanding its community of sports-fan Managers.
The context: The new round follows Sorare's $680M Series B in September 2021, which valued the company at $4.3B. The company subsequently restructured its operations, including a reported 35% reduction in staff and the closure of its New York office. The renewed backing from its historical investors is intended to support Sorare's next phase of product development and its path back to profitability.
