London's Pharosyn raises $3M seed to speed up pharma's commercial calls

What's the deal? PharosynDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a London-based startup building AI systems for pharmaceutical commercial teams, has raised $3 million in seed funding. Moonfire VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → led the round, with Entrepreneurs First, Transpose PlatformDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and General AdvanceDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → participating. The company has not disclosed its valuation.

What's the endgame? Pharosyn tracks clinical, regulatory, and commercial sources — trial data, deals, hiring trends, epidemiology, and social media — and turns them into structured reports and alerts. It says it cut report turnaround from four hours to 15 minutes, a 94% improvement.

"We reduced their time to produce a report or answer a question by 94%. Whereas before it was four hours to produce a report, senior executives were waiting hours and hours for an answer. We brought that down to a few minutes," co-founder and chief executive officer Stephen Cowley tells Tech Funding News.

Why now? Pharma companies face pressure to move faster on pricing, market access, and portfolios as patent cliffs shorten revenue windows. The round follows a 2025 pre-seed from the same investors.

Pharosyn is working with a top-10 biopharmaceutical company and several mid-sized firms on commercial and competitive intelligence. It says senior directors now use the tools daily for strategic decisions.

What's the differentiator? Unlike incumbents such as GlobalDataDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Evaluate PharmaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and AlphaSenDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which lean on structured data, Pharosyn is built around generative AI. It focuses on commercial intelligence rather than drug discovery, where most pharma AI funding has gone this year.

The company also stresses traceability — every output links back to its source data, a priority when high-stakes commercial decisions rest on the information. Cowley's Cambridge research, "Mitigating Hallucinations in LLMs," now underpins the product.

Cowley and co-founder Joshua Hampson met at the University of Cambridge, where Cowley studied AI and Hampson focused on biochemistry. The wider team includes engineers with backgrounds in AI-driven financial forecasting and consultants with senior pharma strategy experience at CitelineDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and elsewhere.

The signal: The global AI market in pharma and biotech is projected to grow from $8.54 billion in 2026 to $154.10 billion by 2034. As New York-based OctoziDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →'s $3 million seed for clinical trial data shows, investors are backing startups that apply generative AI to specific pharma bottlenecks — not just drug discovery.
