What's the endgame? Founded by Christina Johnson, former chief of staff to the general manager of Walmart ConnectDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Advisar gives suppliers a view of how retail media spend connects to business results. It ties performance back to a supplier's P&L, integrating data across sources to surface attribution insights.
Why now? Retail media is now one of the largest controllable levers a supplier has, with total US spend projected to hit $100 billion by 2028. As the channel scales, advertisers want tighter alignment between brand goals and network performance.
"Advisar helps suppliers treat retail media like an investment they actively manage, rather than a line item they simply accept," said Johnson, who is chief executive officer. She said suppliers need "the same standard of measurement they hold every other marketing investment to."
Where it stands: Advisar is in beta and reports early adoption among key partners. It becomes generally available this fall and will appear at Groceryshop in Las Vegas and Shoptalk in Nashville, both in September.
The signal: "Every fast-growing marketing channel eventually gets an independent measurement layer, and retail media is at that point now," said Rajiv Bala, general partner at Clutch VC. As retail media approaches $100 billion, independent tools that verify what suppliers are actually buying are becoming a category of their own.
