Who is McCoy? Founded in 2012 and headquartered in the Netherlands, the firm designs, implements and manages SAP solutions across ERP, data, managed services and enterprise integration. An SAP Gold Partner, it serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities and retail, with offices in Spain and the Philippines.
What changes? The acquisition brings more than 380 specialists to Accenture Edge, along with proprietary accelerators such as SmartERP and McCoy Integration Studio. Accenture says the combination will help clients modernise SAP environments faster and integrate AI into core processes.
What's the endgame? Accenture is building out Accenture Edge in the EMEA mid-market. McCoy will feed offerings like Advance, a joint initiative with SAP that provides packaged services tailored to smaller companies.
Why now? "SAP modernization and AI are increasingly becoming part of the same strategic agenda for mid-market companies looking to accelerate growth," said Nicole van Det, chief executive officer of Accenture Netherlands and Nordics.
What could go wrong? The deal is subject to customary closing conditions, including required regulatory approvals.
The signal: Global consultancies are racing to consolidate SAP expertise as clients migrate to newer platforms and layer AI onto core operations. By buying specialised regional firms, Accenture is betting the mid-market — often underserved by big integrators — is the next growth frontier.
