Helcim raises C$53M as bank exits leave Canada's payments market wide open

The TD-Fiserv sale drove "a huge influx of business," chief executive officer Nicolas Beique told The Globe, as merchants reacted "very strongly" to shrinking Canadian choices. With Moneris now heading to a US owner, "everybody is realizing there are few Canadian options left," he said. "I think it will accelerate our growth."
