AMiquam leads €2.2M Eurostars grant for defect-spotting 3D printing

What does AMiquam do? It builds wireless sensors that inspect metal parts layer by layer as they print. Using eddy-current testing, the sensors flag defects during the build rather than after it.
What's the money for? The consortium will develop lasing strategies and apply artificial intelligence to interpret build data. AMiquam said the goal is to improve fabrication stability, sharpen defect detection, and fold part certification into the printing process itself.
