Beijing Daoweiyoudao Technology raises 100M yuan Series A extension led by SAIF

What's the deal? Beijing Daoweiyoudao Technology, a Tsinghua-affiliated AI agent startup, has raised nearly 100 million yuan (about $14.8 million) in a Series A extension led by SAIF Partners. Existing shareholders IDG Capital, Gaohe CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Amino Capital also joined the round, announced in August 2026.

What's the endgame? Beijing Daoweiyoudao Technology is building DLM-AOP, which it calls an "agent compiler for the business world." The system takes a company's standard operating procedures, knowledge, rules, and historical data, then compiles them into AI agents that can connect to real systems and run complex tasks.

Why now? The large-model industry has moved past competing on foundation models into what Beijing Daoweiyoudao Technology calls the "application implementation is king" phase. Its pitch is that the bottleneck now lies in engineering business knowledge and processes, not in the models themselves.

Founder and chief executive officer Zhang Wenhao studied under Zhang Bo, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and honorary dean of Tsinghua University's Institute of Artificial Intelligence. What could go wrong? Governance is the open question for enterprise agents. GartnerDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → estimates that by the end of 2027, more than 40% of agentic AI projects may be cancelled over runaway costs, unclear value, or weak risk control. Beijing Daoweiyoudao Technology says DLM-AOP builds in permissions, audit, and human collaboration to address those limits.

The signal: Investors are shifting money down the stack, from model builders to the execution layer that turns models into deployable work. Gartner predicts that by 2028, 33% of enterprise software will carry agentic AI capabilities — a market that Beijing Daoweiyoudao Technology and its backers are betting will reward companies that solve deployment rather than raw model performance.
