Huta Małapanew joins PGH in Poland steel consolidation

How is it structured? Why now? The agreement executes a term sheet the parties signed on July 22, 2026. It takes effect immediately, with share-subscription offers due within 75 days.

What's the endgame? PGH wants to build steel and iron casting output aimed at defence. Planned products include casings for 250kg NATO-standard bombs — equivalent to MK-82 general-purpose bombs — rocket casings, and cast components for 155mm ammunition.

The signal: The deal points to Poland's steel sector consolidating around defence demand, with an all-stock structure that ties the foundries' former owners to PGH's future rather than cashing them out.
