What does Fastbase do? It builds website visitor identification, lead generation, and business intelligence software that turns anonymous web traffic into identifiable business leads with company and contact details. It also maintains a global business database spanning roughly 350 million companies.
Why it matters: The deal marks a sharp pivot for St. Joseph, which has historically described itself as a medical device, medical equipment, medical supply, and nutritional products company. It now gains an operating platform in AI-powered business intelligence.
What changes? St. Joseph intends to apply to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to rename itself Fastbase AI Inc. It does not currently plan to change its trading symbol; the company trades over-the-counter as STJO.
The products: Fastbase's InMarket Leads uses Google Analytics data to flag companies searching for relevant keywords, while Web Leads tracks which organisations visit a customer's site. It is also developing an AI-powered business search platform built on its 350 million-company dataset, intended to help users discover businesses, analyse markets, and identify decision-makers.
What's next? As part of the transaction, Mr. Ortiz is expected to become a director and officer of St. Joseph.

The signal: The move reflects how far the AI label now travels — a listed medical products firm is remaking its entire corporate identity around a data intelligence platform, betting that business search and lead generation offer a stronger growth story than its legacy operations.
