The financials: The Indian auto-components maker reported the deal alongside Q1 FY27 results for the quarter ended 30 June 2026. Consolidated revenue from operations rose 30.01% year on year to Rs 4,314.89 crore, with profit after tax of Rs 244.52 crore.

What's the catch? Profit slipped sequentially from Rs 276.45 crore in Q4 FY26 to Rs 244.52 crore in Q1 FY27, a dip investors will watch. Basic and diluted earnings per share stood at Rs 17.38.

What's the endgame? Endurance manufactures components for two-wheelers, passenger vehicles, and commercial vehicles across India, Italy, and Germany. Lifting its Stöferle stake moves it closer to full control, opening the door to tighter integration and financial consolidation benefits in Europe.

What could go wrong? Beyond the profit dip, integration of the German assets, currency swings, and broader automotive-sector headwinds are risks. The impact of the higher stake has yet to show up in future quarters.

The signal: The move fits a pattern of Indian auto suppliers deepening ownership of overseas assets to expand their global footprint.
