Why now? Canada's biomethane sector has drawn a string of commitments. In May 2026, RNG technology provider Anaergia secured a C$20 million ($14.67 million) loan for a build-out, and another Canadian firm is pursuing a waste-to-RNG plant in New Brunswick.
