Why now? Chief executive officer Gregg Bennett said William Blythe's "European and Asian presence, technical expertise, and strong reputation" give Metals and Additives a platform to expand globally.
"The combination of Metals and Additives and William Blythe creates a unique, international platform," said Luke Bray, investment director at H2.
The signal: The deal reflects private equity's continued push to build cross-border specialty chemicals platforms by bolting complementary manufacturers onto existing portfolio companies, betting on scale in regulated, high-margin niches.
