Denmark's Guardsix buys Czech Logmanager in likely hundreds-of-millions crown deal

The parties declined to disclose the price, but CzechCrunch estimates it could reach the low hundreds of millions of crowns.
What does Logmanager do? It develops a platform to manage and analyse logs — the digital records generated by servers, applications, networks, and security devices. That simplifies responding to cyber threats, fixing operational problems, and meeting regulatory requirements.
Why now? Logmanager grew fast recently, roughly quadrupling over the past three years, and is heading toward billings above 130 million crowns this year. The two firms are complementary: Logmanager is strong in Central Europe, while Guardsix leads in the west.
"Logmanager is strong in Central Europe, Guardsix in the west. It's natural to join forces and build something bigger," said Jiří Tobola, chief executive officer of Logmanager.
What changes for customers? Logmanager will keep operating under its current brand and team during integration, and all customer contracts and service terms remain unchanged. Its current leadership will reinvest a significant part of its stake into Guardsix and stay involved in the combined firm's development.
What's the endgame? The stated aim is to build a stronger European player and strengthen the continent's technological sovereignty as an alternative to American platforms. "It's great that we're not selling Logmanager to America, for instance, but to a European firm," Tobola told JIC, adding that Europe has ground to make up on the US, Israel, and China in cybersecurity.
A serial founder: This is another successful exit for Tobola.
