Neros raises $250M at $2.5B valuation to scale drone production

What's the deal? Neros, a US defence technology startup, raised $250 million in a late-stage round at a $2.5 billion post-money valuation in August 2026. Sequoia Capital and the American Strategic Technology Fund co-led, with existing backer Thiel CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → participating.

What it means. Neros develops the Archer attack drone and Bandit interception drone. It plans to use the funding to accelerate development and mass production, including localised manufacturing in allied countries.

Why now? Neros currently has annual capacity for about 14,000 aircraft and aims to increase Archer output to 1 million units by 2028.
