Why now? The deal was first announced as exclusive negotiations in May 2026 and has now closed.
What does Olmix do? It develops high-value active ingredients from marine and mineral raw materials such as algae, clay minerals, and yeast, built on a fully integrated algae value chain. Its solutions serve farmers, distributors, and agri-supply manufacturers in more than 100 countries. The company employs over 900 people across nine industrial sites.
What's the endgame? EW Group plans to accelerate Olmix's growth and international expansion. The signal: EW Group operates more than 300 subsidiaries across over 50 countries, employing more than 30,000 people in genetics, health, and diagnostics. Adding Olmix deepens its footprint in sustainable agriculture and natural inputs — a sector drawing steady consolidation as demand for biosourced alternatives grows.
