NEARTHLAB prices IPO at top of range, raising 37.5B KRW
What's the deal? NEARTHLAB, a South Korean maker of physical AI-based autonomous drones, set its final IPO price at 41,200 KRW per share — the top of its 30,000–41,200 KRW range. The offering raises about 37.5 billion KRW ($26.4 million), with an expected market capitalisation of roughly 238 billion KRW after listing.
Why now? The pricing followed a five-day institutional book-building from 3–7 November 2026, drawing 1,795 domestic and foreign institutions and a subscription rate of 743.5 to 1. Some 98% of participants bid at or above the top of the range.
What's the endgame? NEARTHLAB built its reputation on its "Aerial Intelligence" technology in the global wind-turbine inspection market before entering defence in 2024. It now sells counter-drone hard-kill system KAiDEN and swarm-strike solution XAiDEN, securing overseas exports and a Defense Acquisition Program Administration reference.
By the numbers. Helped by revenue from a UAE project in the second quarter, the company posted preliminary revenue of about 16.9 billion KRW and operating profit of about 700 million KRW, turning profitable on a quarterly basis.
Proceeds will fund an in-house factory to be built in stages in 2027–2028, hiring in production and quality roles, and R&D to advance core technology.
The signal. "We are grateful to institutional investors who highly valued our technological competitiveness and growth potential despite market volatility," said chief executive officer Choi Jae-hyuk, adding that the company aims to "rapidly expand its position in the overseas defence market." NEARTHLAB runs its retail subscription on 12–13 November and plans to list on Kosdaq on 24 November.
