ECR Minerals raises £636K to push Queensland gold project toward production
What's the deal? ECR MineralsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a gold exploration and development company focused on Australia, has conditionally raised £636,250 in a post-IPO equity placing. The AIM-listed company (LON: ECR) issued 363,571,430 new ordinary shares at 0.175 pence each to existing shareholders and other investors.
What's the endgame? Most of the net proceeds will advance the Maddens Gold Project in Northern Queensland, where ECR holds a 50% interest. The board calls it the company's "highest-priority gold production opportunity."
Where the money goes: Funds will support development of the Maddens Underground Mine, where a new mineralised quartz vein containing visible gold has been identified. Ore is already being stockpiled ahead of processing. A portion will also fund trial alluvial mining at the Brothers Mining Lease and further exploration following a recent LiDAR survey.
Why now? ECR aims to move Maddens toward production in 2026, drawing on multiple gold production streams from a single operating hub. The raise funds the next phase of that plan alongside general corporate and working capital needs.
The signal: Small-cap miners typically lean on equity placings to fund the capital-intensive jump from exploration to production. For ECR, this modest raise is a bet on turning visible gold at Maddens into revenue.
