Cloudflare launches Kitesurf, a browser built for AI agents
Cloudflare has introduced Kitesurf, a cloud-hosted browser designed for AI agents rather than human users. The browser runs on Cloudflare's Workers platform and is optimised for automation tasks such as screenshots and HTML extraction, using 3–7× less CPU and memory than Chromium for common workloads. Kitesurf is stateless and trades away human-centric features like tabs, extensions, and pixel-perfect rendering in favour of scalability. It supports existing automation tools including Puppeteer, Playwright, and chrome-remote-interface via a CDP endpoint, and is available free during beta through Browser Run.
