Bikaji approves US$2.04M Nepal JV and Abu Dhabi subsidiary

What's the deal? Bikaji Foods International Limited (BFIL)Dealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → approved a joint venture investment of up to US$2.04M in Nepal and the creation of a wholly owned subsidiary in Abu Dhabi. Its board cleared both moves on 5 August 2026.

What does the Nepal deal look like? BFIL will invest in C.G. Bikaji Private Limited, a 50:50 joint venture with C.G. Savory Corp Private Limited. The company will manufacture, trade and market snacks, namkeen, bhujia, papad and packaged sweets in Nepal.

What about the UAE? BFIL will incorporate a subsidiary, potentially named Bikaji Foods International UAE Limited, within the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi. The entity will support the company's international supply chain operations, particularly across the Middle East, with investment planned up to US$2.56M.

What else did the board approve? Bikaji granted 1,00,000 stock options to eligible employees under the Bikaji Employees Stock Option Scheme 2021. The options are exercisable at US$6.79 each and vest over three years.

The signal: Bikaji is pairing a Nepal manufacturing partnership with a Gulf supply-chain hub as it expands its production and distribution footprint beyond India.
