Faye raises $50M Series C to speed AI-driven travel insurance payouts

What's the deal? Faye, a travel insurance company that automates claim approvals with AI, said Wednesday it has raised $50 million in Series C funding. Madrona Ventures led the round, which values the company at about $500 million.

What does it do? Faye sells travel insurance covering flight disruptions, medical emergencies, and lost baggage. Customers buy it directly through its app or embedded in a partner's booking flow.

Who else backed it? BRM Capital, Portage, F2 Venture Capital, Viola Ventures, and Lumir Growth Partners joined the round. The raise brings Faye's total funding to $100 million.

What's the money for? Faye plans to expand partnerships with airlines, hotels, and online travel agencies. It will also scale the automated claims technology that approves payouts in minutes rather than days.

The signal: At $50 million, the round lands among the larger deals in its class — the kind of check that signals investor appetite for insurance startups leaning on AI to cut costs and speed decisions. Faye is betting that automating the slowest part of insurance, the claim, is what wins customers and partners.
