Horizon3.ai lands $250M Series E at $2B-plus valuation
What's the deal? Horizon3.ai has raised $250 million in a Series E round at a valuation of more than $2 billion. NightDragonDealroom has a profile for this one. What's the endgame? The company's NodeZero platform runs autonomous penetration tests against customers' live networks, chaining weak credentials, misconfigurations and identity gaps into a working attack path — then re-testing to confirm the fix holds. Most of the new capital funds hiring in sales, marketing and channel, plus autonomous "blue-team" agents that remediate findings without human input.
By the numbers: NodeZero now serves more than 6,500 organisations, up from about 3,000 at the Series D. Annual recurring revenue grew 120% year-over-year, and the platform has run upwards of 300,000 production pentests — data the company calls its hardest asset for rivals to copy.
Why now? The valuation triples the $650 million mark set at Horizon3.ai's June 2025 Series D, bringing total funding to $428.5 million. Customers include the National Security Agency, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, four Fortune 10 companies, multinational banks and healthcare networks.
Where next? Singapore and Australia are the first stops in an international push that also targets Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The expansion follows demand from enterprise, mid-market and federal buyers.
"We invented the concept of AI Hackers and spent six years earning the right to autonomously pentest the most critical and sensitive networks in the world," said co-founder and chief executive Snehal Antani, who started the company in 2019 with Anthony Pillitiere. NightDragon founder Dave DeWalt, formerly of FireEye and McAfeeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, takes a board seat and said the platform is "fundamentally reshaping how the world defends its data."
The signal: At $250 million, this ranks among the largest Series E rounds ever raised by a US security company — in the top 10% of 136 comparable deals. It is a bet that autonomous, AI-driven attack and defence become the standard as adversaries deploy the same tools.
