BSE buys 3.33% of bullion holding firm IIBH for ₹10.10 crore
BSE Limited has acquired a 3.33% equity stake in India International Bullion Holding IFSC Limited (IIBH) for an aggregate consideration of ₹10.10 crore. The deal closed after the exchange secured all required approvals, including from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
The purchase marks BSE's move into the bullion holding sector. With regulatory sign-off in place, it is a fully operationalised equity stake rather than a pending agreement.
BSE shares rose 3.28% to settle at ₹3,646.20, trading between ₹3,517 and ₹3,652.50 on volume of 2.75 million shares.
The investment adds another financial-markets player to IIBH's backers. CDSL earlier said it would invest up to ₹20 crore in the same entity, pointing to broader interest from Indian market infrastructure firms in the bullion segment.
