ThreatLocker raises $190M Series F to secure AI workloads

What's the deal?

Orlando-based ThreatLocker has raised $190 million in Series F financing led by Boston's Elephant , with participation from D. E. Shaw Ventures, Arthur Ventures , and new investor Koch Disruptive Technologies . The company said the funds will back product development, international expansion, and capabilities to secure AI-driven workloads and autonomous software agents.

What's the endgame?

ThreatLocker runs a Zero Trust platform that permits only approved software to execute while blocking unknown or unauthorised programs by default. It sets predefined rules for which applications can run and what resources they access, rather than relying on detecting malicious code after the fact.

Why now?

"We are living in a world where new agents are constantly being introduced and granted access to sensitive resources, which makes our mission more urgent," said co-founder and chief executive officer Danny Jenkins .

What's new?

ThreatLocker has extended its model beyond endpoint protection to networks and cloud infrastructure via its Zero Trust Network Access and Zero Trust Cloud Access products. The company says it can restrict how approved applications interact with sensitive files, systems, and websites — limiting AI tools from reaching confidential information or running unapproved code.

Where's it expanding?

The company has added operations in Brisbane and Dubai since early 2025, complementing existing offices in Orlando and Dublin. Koch Disruptive Technologies, a Wichita, Kansas-based firm, said it will provide strategic support through its industrial network and commercialisation resources.

Jenkins built ThreatLocker after a career that began in 1997, spanning corporate IT, ethical hacking, and security consulting. He previously co-founded Dublin-based email security firm MXSweep and led Sirrustec.

The signal:

As enterprises grant autonomous agents access to sensitive systems, security is shifting from detecting threats after a breach to controlling what software is allowed to run at all — a bet that AI's rapid spread makes permission-based defences more valuable than detection alone.
