Partners Group closes $5.5B infrastructure secondaries program

What's the deal?

Partners Group has closed a $5.5 billion infrastructure secondaries program. It comprises a $1.7 billion closed-ended fund alongside bespoke mandates and other co-investment vehicles.

Who's backing it?

More than 70% of the fund's committed capital came from new clients. The strategy invests globally across GP-led transactions, LP-led portfolios, and other infrastructure secondaries opportunities.

Why now?

The program has already deployed. It has committed more than 25% of its capital across 20 seed investments and put roughly $2 billion to work in the year to July 2026.

What's the endgame?

Deals to date include a lead investment in a continuation vehicle for a global commercial aviation leasing portfolio of 69 aircraft leasing assets. It also co-led a continuation vehicle for a UK rolling stock leasing platform serving the country's core rail network.

The signal:

The close underscores rising appetite for infrastructure secondaries, where investors buy stakes in existing assets rather than fund new builds. Drawing most of its capital from new clients suggests the strategy is pulling fresh money into a maturing corner of private markets.
