Brasol Invest raises R$550M in debut year for energy-backed real estate funds

What's the deal?

Brasol Invest, the investment-management arm of Brazilian energy-transition group Brasol focused on real assets tied to the energy transition, closed its first year of operation with R$550 million raised across two real estate funds. The firm structures real estate investment funds (FIIs) backed by long-term leases on operational energy assets.

What's the endgame?

Brasol Invest converts energy infrastructure into financial assets, giving investors direct exposure to operational assets with contracted, long-term cash flows and low volatility. Its portfolios currently hold 114MWp of power plants across 10 Brazilian states, including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais.

What's next?

The firm is preparing two new funds that could raise up to R$1 billion more by the end of 2027.

The details:

The first fund, distributed by EQI Investimentos, has more than 12 months of history, an annualised dividend yield above 13%, and monthly payments to shareholders. A second fund, aimed at wealth management and distributed by XP Investimentos via FAMI Capital, is still maturing.

The signal:

Brasol Invest's model turns Brazil's growing renewable capacity into income-generating financial products, a bet that steady, contracted returns can attract investors seeking exposure to the energy transition.
