Why it matters: The round marks Thomson Reuters Ventures' first investment in a Brazilian startup. Jusfy, which positions itself as an AI operating system for Brazilian legal work, serves more than 60,000 lawyers and holds a base of 14 million court cases on its platform.
What's the endgame? The money will mainly expand Jusfy Pay, its financial services product, which formalises how lawyers get paid by clients. The company also plans to build new AI tools and launch a version aimed at law students.
By the numbers: Jusfy closed 2025 with revenue up 118%, and had expected to grow recurring revenue by roughly 80% in 2026. It was valued at about $30 million in its previous round; the new valuation was not confirmed.
The investor view: Quona, a fintech-focused fund, sees Jusfy following vertical platforms like Toast and Shopify. "Once the platform starts to dominate the workflow, financial services add on at high adoption rates," the firm wrote to investors, noting Jusfy Pay already generates higher revenue per user among adopters.
The signal: At $15 million, the round sits in the 63rd percentile by size among comparable deals — a solid but not outsized raise. It reflects investor appetite for vertical software that layers financial services onto a captured professional workflow, here targeting a fragmented base of Brazilian lawyers underserved by traditional banks.
