The round brings the security startup's total capital raised to $17 million.

What does Casco do? It builds an agentic security engineer that scans code for vulnerabilities before attackers can exploit them. The company says it has found critical vulnerabilities in more than 300 companies that already used popular code security tools and human pentesters.

Why now? Casco argues legacy tools generate noise rather than accuracy because they do not run the actual code, creating alert fatigue. It cites that 83% of security professionals feel burnt out, and that the window between a vulnerability's discovery and its weaponisation is shrinking from months to days.

What's the endgame? Casco's stated mission is to make all software "effortlessly secure," positioning its product as a continuous alternative to costly, periodic human pentests. It is hiring across engineering, security, sales, and growth roles.

Investor view. "Casco is the tool I wish I'd had at Stripe," said Bryan Berg, general partner at Standard Capital and former head of security at the payments company.

The signal: The size of the round stands out — it ranks in the 99th percentile among all US Series A rounds in security tracked to date, across a sample of 1,636 deals. As AI accelerates how much code companies ship, investors are betting on tools that can keep pace with the widening attack surface.
