MyDecisive.AI launches with $12M seed, a top-tier round for US enterprise software

What's the deal? AI DevOps startup MyDecisive.AIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → formally launched, announcing a $12 million seed round backed by Copper Sky CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (formerly AZ-VC), whose managing partner Jason Pressman joined the round. The San Francisco company sells a platform meant to keep critical applications stable as enterprises push AI workloads into production.

Why it stands out: The round lands in the 96th percentile among all-time US enterprise software seed deals, based on a sample of 11,920 rounds — placing it well above the typical launch cheque for the sector.

What's the endgame? At the center of the launch is SmartHub, an open-source foundation built as a Kubernetes and OpenTelemetry-native cluster. It gives engineering teams control over telemetry data, intercepting it at the edge inside a customer's own cloud or on-premises systems rather than shipping large volumes to third-party dashboards.

The product: Layered on top is Octant, a commercial suite now generally available. It adds governance, security controls, and automation — including anomaly detection with automated runbook execution and cloud auto-scaling. MyDecisive claims the combination cuts the operating cost of production systems by nearly 90%.

Who's behind it? Founder Ari Zilka built application software company TerracottaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, later sold to Software AGDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and architected the first version of Walmart.com. He most recently ran technology at Hortonworks, the Hadoop vendor Cloudera absorbed in 2019.

The pitch targets a gap enterprises hit as both human and AI developers change production systems continuously. Companies often lack the visibility to govern those changes safely at scale, MyDecisive said. "For the past three years, we have been quietly building the infrastructure that enterprises actually need, rather than the hype they've been sold," Zilka said.

MyDecisive said it is already powering production workloads across the financial services, retail, telecommunications, and healthcare sectors.

The signal: An outsized seed cheque for an open-source-first infrastructure play reflects investor appetite for tools that manage the cost and risk of AI in production — the messy operational layer that follows the model-building rush.
