Neu Horizon Uranium starts Swedish surveys after A$12M ASX listing

What's the deal? Neu Horizon Uranium (ASX: NHU) has begun drone-based magnetic and radiometric surveys at its Arvidsjaur Project in northern Sweden, just over a week after listing on the Australian Securities Exchange. The company raised A$12 million by issuing 60 million shares at A$0.20 each, and began trading on July 7, 2026. Its listing valued the explorer at about A$17.6 million.

Why now? The survey is the first meaningful test of whether Neu Horizon can turn its IPO into exploration progress. Contractor Radai Oy will collect roughly 11,250 line kilometres of geophysical data across the Ravenberget, Suddesjaur, Laisbäcken and Arresåive prospects.

What's the endgame? The programme aims to define geological structures, identify near-surface radiometric anomalies and finalise drill collar locations around historic uranium occurrences. Management has said the raise is enough to fund two years of uranium exploration in Sweden. It is a targeting exercise, not a discovery result — designed to sharpen the company's next, capital-intensive decision: drilling.

By the numbers: Radai Oy is expected to collect about 7,500 line kilometres of magnetic data on lines spaced 50 metres apart, using a three-component fluxgate magnetometer. A further 3,750 line kilometres of radiometric data will be gathered on 100-metre lines with a Medusa Radiometrics MS-1000 gamma-ray spectrometer, measuring gamma radiation tied to uranium, thorium and potassium.

What could go wrong? Weak post-IPO trading means the drill-ready targets must now fully justify the raise. A clean survey would not prove an economic deposit exists, but could reduce geological uncertainty. Ambiguous data could force more surface work before a substantial drilling campaign.

The signal: Early-stage explorers are often valued on access to attractive ground long before they generate enough modern data to prove a viable model. Neu Horizon has moved past the portfolio-building and listing stages; the survey marks the point where it must convert broad historical mineralisation into targets that can be tested economically and systematically.
