Try Dealroom → (TPH), combining two women-led firms that provide furnished, season-long housing for professional athletes, coaches, and sports organisations. The Phoenix-based company announced the deal on July 14, 2026. Terms were not disclosed.
What each does: MAVRX offers fully furnished, season-long housing across more than 30 states, pairing proprietary technology with concierge service. New Jersey-based TPH brought similar expertise serving athletes and teams.
What's the endgame? MAVRX targets a roster-capped population across major leagues — including MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL — plus developmental leagues. It says this bounded approach delivers high-touch service that volume-based providers cannot match, and folding in TPH accelerates its national growth.
The hire: TPH founder Kim Schimenek joins MAVRX as chief sales officer, leading sales strategy and partner relationships. "Seeing those values with MAVRX made this a natural fit," she said, adding that clients will gain "a larger inventory, an exceptional service team, and MAVRX's innovative technology."
Why now? The US serviced apartment market is projected to reach $44 billion by 2033. MAVRX, a multiple-time Inc. 5000 honoree, is betting the moment favours a specialist positioned between housing and athletics.
What changes for customers? Operations will move under the MAVRX brand, with clients keeping uninterrupted service and gaining expanded inventory and market coverage.
"We're building a stronger company by bringing together talented people, operational expertise, and technology that improves the experience for our clients," said Nicolette HawthorneDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, founder and chief executive officer of MAVRX.
The signal: The deal reflects consolidation in a growing corporate housing market, with a niche operator scaling up rather than chasing volume — a bet that specialisation, not size alone, wins in a $44 billion market.
