What does Takeem do? It offers what it calls the first integrated rental guarantee solution in the Gulf, letting landlords protect rental income when tenants default and covering emergency maintenance costs. The platform supports monthly payments via digital direct debit and uses data models to assess risk.
The traction: Founded by Rakesh Mavath and Pooja Vithlani, Takeem has expanded to more than 100,000 property units. It reported a 900% rise in customer onboarding over the two months to July 2026.
Why now? The investment lands just weeks after Dubizzle backed Tern, a rental payments platform — a quick re-raise signal of the group's push into property technology. Both deals fit a plan to cover the full rental journey, from search to payment to income protection.
What's the endgame? "Our investment in Takeem reflects our conviction in the company's ability to transform this sector," said Haider Ali Khan, chief executive officer of Dubizzle Group in the UAE, framing it within a vision to build an integrated property system spanning search, payment, and protection. Co-founder Rakesh Mavath called Dubizzle's entry "a strategic milestone" that widens access to landlords and brokers across both platforms.
The signal: The moves come as Dubizzle Group prepares to list on the Dubai Financial Market, offering roughly 30.3% of its shares partly to fund technology deals. By locking rental payment and protection tools inside its own platforms, the group is racing regional rivals to own integrated digital rental systems rather than remain a classifieds portal.
