Auxilius raises €1.3M to automate compliance with AI
Munich-based startup Auxilius has raised roughly €1.3 million in pre-seed funding to build an AI-native platform for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). The round is led by High-Tech Gründerfonds, with Techstars and several business angels from the industrial and enterprise software sectors also participating.
Auxilius translates corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and control systems into executable code. Instead of sample-based checks, controls run continuously and adapt automatically to changing regulatory or operational conditions.
Despite billions invested in GRC systems, about 80% of corporate controls are still performed manually. Auditors work with random samples, compliance teams manage spreadsheets, and managers collect screenshots as evidence — an approach that still leaves companies exposed to costly violations and risks.
The generated controls do more than document requirements; they become auditable evidence in their own right. That lets companies fold monitoring into operational processes, turning one-off checks into ongoing controls and periodic audits into permanent review.
Auxilius plans to further develop its platform and expand its team.
The €1.3 million round is a standard-sized early ticket in a sector where follow-on financings in the low- to mid-single-digit millions are becoming the norm for startups that show traction. It puts Auxilius on the map as investors back infrastructure that makes regulated work more efficient.
