OMOWAY closes Series A as OMO-X starts global deliveries

Alongside the raise, OMOWAY began the world's first deliveries of its flagship OMO-X electric motorcycle in June 2026, starting in Indonesia.

The company is targeting a gap in the market: premium smart motorbikes stay expensive, while cheaper models lack real innovation.
OMO-X ships with a digital key, a smart navigation display, and remote control. A Balance version adds low-speed self-balancing, built on OMOWAY's proprietary OMO-Robot architecture.
What could go wrong? The global motorcycle market is long dominated by Japanese petrol brands, and OMOWAY must prove its technology can scale profitably.
Bringing self-balancing tech from prototype to mass production took hundreds of user studies and thousands of component iterations — a costly, complex process to sustain.
The signal: A breakout-stage startup founded in July 2024 has drawn backing from an unusually deep bench of strategic money — CATL's Lochpine Capital, XPeng's Rockets Capital, and a BYD co-founder's Hui Capital — signalling that China's EV and battery giants see two-wheelers as the next frontier for intelligent mobility. That OMO-X topped Indonesia's electric motorcycle order rankings in its first month suggests the demand thesis behind those bets is landing, though Europe and Thailand will be sterner tests.
