YoLearn.ai raises $500K to scale voice-first AI tutoring in India
What's the deal? Voice-first AI tutoring platform YoLearn.aiDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised $500,000 in a pre-seed round at a $5 million valuation.
The round was co-led by DataAlpha.ai and White Swan Global, with participation from angel investors.
Founded in January 2025 by Kirti Prakash Mishra, the platform uses real-time audio conversations and a live interactive sketchpad, letting an AI tutor draw diagrams and work through problems visually — much like a teacher at a whiteboard.
Why now? YoLearn.ai will use the funds to scale its tutoring products and expand across India's school and competitive exam market.
The platform has crossed 200,000 cumulative users across its web app and Android and iOS apps, branded YoTutor.ai.
Usage clusters among students in Grades 9 through 12, who juggle board exams with competitive tests such as JEE, NEET, and CUET. It supports 22 Indian languages, including Hindi and Hinglish, and offers AI tutor personas modelled on popular educators.
What could go wrong? The space is crowded, with rivals including SigIQ.AI, Fermi.AI, Arivihan.AI, CK-12, MagicSchool.AI, and Lytmus.AI.
The company claims 100% syllabus accuracy across board and competitive curricula, a bold promise that AI tutors must consistently deliver to win trust.
The signal: At a $5 million valuation barely a year after its January 2025 launch, YoLearn.ai is an early-stage bet on voice-first tutoring localised for India's exam-driven students, having already crossed 200,000 cumulative users. Backing from corporate investors signals confidence that a 22-language, voice-led approach can carve out space in a market still dominated by video lectures.
