Wyld Networks raises SEK 5M from US investor Alumni Capital

What's the deal? Swedish satellite connectivity firm Wyld NetworksDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised roughly SEK 5 million (about $513,374) through a directed unit issue.

The round was backed by Alumni Capital Management, a Miami-based investor focused on publicly listed small-cap companies.

The issue comprises 16,666,666 units at SEK 0.30 each, with each unit including one ordinary share and one free warrant.

Why now? The raise follows a rights issue Wyld completed on June 2, 2026.

Alongside the new funding, the board resolved to issue 5,780,000 shares at SEK 0.15 each to two underwriters who chose to take their compensation in stock rather than cash.

Chief executive officer Kjell Olovsson said the proceeds will fund customer deployments, technology development, and expansion across satellite connectivity and defence applications.

What could go wrong? The board priced the units through arm's-length negotiations, weighing market conditions, recent trading liquidity, and execution risk against other financing options.

Issuing shares to settle underwriter claims and bring in a new investor dilutes existing shareholders.

The signal: Wyld remains an early-stage company, and bringing in Miami-based Alumni Capital — an investor focused on publicly listed small-caps — gives it its first American institutional backer as it broadens its shareholder base. The move points to growing investor appetite for satellite connectivity and defence-linked technology, a sector attracting fresh capital as geopolitical tensions rise.
