Mykare.ai raises $1M to fix healthcare's patient access gaps

What's the deal? Mykare.aiDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised an additional $1 million, bringing its total funding to $3.2 million.

The round drew backing from Andrew and Alfredo, co-founders of Papa.com, and a leading family office from the Middle East.

The startup is building what it calls an AI operating system for healthcare providers, aimed at handling missed calls, follow-ups, and the disconnected systems that drag on patient care.

Why now? Healthcare providers face mounting pressure to improve patient experience while running lean operations.

"The problem we chose to solve is one that many people avoid because it's hard and messy, with disconnected systems," said Senu Sam, founder and chief executive officer.

His pitch: free clinics to focus on care, not admin. "Healthcare providers should focus on patient care, not on managing missed calls, follow-ups, and disconnected systems," he said.

What could go wrong? Healthcare is notoriously hard to crack, with fragmented systems and strict regulation.

Mykare.ai is betting it can stitch those systems together — a challenge that has tripped up many before it.

The signal: The round leans on operator-investors rather than traditional VCs, with Papa.com's founders and a Middle Eastern family office betting on a hands-on approach to healthcare's back-office problems. As an early-stage startup, Mykare.ai's $1 million top-up signals investor appetite for AI tools that tackle the unglamorous gaps in patient access rather than clinical breakthroughs.
