Aspire11 buys €20M secondary stake in Vinted

What's the deal? Czech investment platform Aspire11Dealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, founded by Pavel Mucha and billionaire Petr Borkovec, has invested €20 million (480,000,000 CZK) into Vinted, the European secondhand clothing marketplace.

The deal is a secondary share purchase. While the exact entry valuation is undisclosed, an April 2026 secondary sale led by EQT valued Vinted at €8 billion.

Ordinary Czechs benefit too: the money flows through pension firm RenteaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and the PartnersDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → group, channelling local retirement savings into private markets.

Why now? Lithuania's Vinted keeps growing. The marketplace posted €1.1 billion in revenue in 2025, up 38% year on year, helped by expansion into new categories such as electronics.

First-quarter results beat internal targets, with gross merchandise value topping €3.4 billion. Adjusted profit reached €78 million, including a heavy US push.

Higher inflation keeps fuelling demand across Europe as shoppers look to save.

What could go wrong? Getting direct access to such companies is hard for Central European players, as demand far outstrips supply.

That scarcity showed when Aspire11 entered Revolut in 2025 — the round was several times oversubscribed. Borkovec says reaching these deals is nearly impossible without exceptional contacts.

The signal: As Europe's largest C2C marketplace for second-hand fashion, late-stage Vinted slots neatly into Aspire11's strategy of buying secondary stakes in billion-euro "generational" companies alongside DocPlanner, Databricks, and Revolut. The deal underscores how Central European investors increasingly use secondary share purchases — like EQT's April sale that pegged Vinted at €8 billion — to gain rare direct access to late-stage names where demand far outstrips supply.
