Floqer closes $2M pre-seed to scale its AI go-to-market platform
What's the deal? Halifax-based Floqer has closed a $2 million pre-seed round to expand its artificial intelligence platform for sales and marketing teams.
The round was led by Toronto's N49PDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, with Halifax-based Tidal Venture PartnersDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and San Francisco-based Perplexity also investing.
Floqer is building an autonomous customer knowledge base that combines public and private data to help companies find prospects and sharpen go-to-market strategies.
The platform pulls from more than 100 third-party sources plus internal systems like customer relationship management software, using large language models to profile existing and potential customers.
Why now? Chief executive officer Shivam MahajanDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → said revenue grew 8X in the year to June 2026, pushing annual recurring revenue past $1 million.
Customers include Perplexity, London-based fintech Wise, San Francisco-based AngelList, and Seattle-based Pulumi.
"AI has made it super easy for people to build software and build products really fast," Mahajan said. "But distribution is still a problem and Floqer helps companies go to market faster and more precisely with better go-to-market data."
Mahajan co-founded the company with chief technology officer Zaaheda IslamDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in October 2024. The two met studying computer science at Dalhousie University in Halifax.
They first built SuperChat, a Chrome extension that used AI to take notes from online sources. It drew thousands of users but no revenue.
When they noticed people using it to clean internal databases with live web data, they made that the foundation of Floqer.
The signal: Floqer's growth reflects a wider race to turn AI into practical go-to-market tools, with Perplexity backing the early-stage startup as both an investor and a customer — a vote of confidence that doubles as validation from one of the sector's highest-profile names.
