Opine raises $5M Seed to automate the admin grind in technical sales

What's the deal? OpineDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an AI startup founded in 2023, has raised $5M and reached seven-figure annual recurring revenue by automating the administrative grind that bogs down technical sales teams. Its agentic AI pulls deal information and customer activity into real-time dashboards, saving an average of four hours per week per active deal on tasks like tracking requirements and chasing spreadsheet updates.

CEO Akash Ganapathi said the company targets the repetitive, non-human side of technical sales — not the relationship-building that closes deals. "We want to minimise the nonhuman, more repetitive side of technical sales," he said.

Why now? Technical sales teams increasingly rely on complex partner ecosystems, creating mountains of coordination work. Saviynt, a cloud cybersecurity provider that runs 85% of its business through channel partners, adopted Opine in 2026. Mark Rida, Saviynt's director of solutions engineering, said the tool lets his team "focus on delivering value instead of wrangling spreadsheets or chasing down updates."

What could go wrong? Sales representatives ranked among the top ten occupations most exposed to AI, according to a 2024 AnthropicDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → report on labour market impacts. That study found 63% of sales tasks — including contacting customers and demonstrating products — could be covered by AI.

The finding raises a question Opine will keep facing: if AI can handle most sales tasks, how long before it handles the rest? Ganapathi pushed back on that framing, noting Anthropic's analysis excluded technical and scientific sales roles. "Salespeople are not going anywhere," he said. "You can't ask an AI to own the outcome of a deal."

The signal: Opine's early traction — seven-figure ARR within roughly two years of founding — suggests real demand for AI that tackles the coordination overhead in channel-heavy enterprise sales, a niche distinct from the broader CRM automation wave. Dealroom classifies the company as "early growth," and its focus on proof-of-concept automation for deep-tech vendors positions it in a segment where sales cycles are long, partner ecosystems are dense, and the administrative burden is acute enough for buyers to pay to eliminate it.
