CleanGo acquires 49% of AgritechBC to push remediation products worldwide
What's the deal? Vancouver-based CleanGo Innovations, a sustainable cleaning products manufacturer, has closed a definitive stock purchase agreement for a 49% stake in Kelowna, B.C.-based AgritechBC Solutions. The deal gives Agritech access to CleanGo's worldwide distribution network to sell its environmental remediation products globally.
Agritech, established in November 2025, makes products that clean up hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and pesticides by accelerating natural decontamination processes performed by fungi, plants, and microbes. CleanGo's chief executive officer Anthony Sarvucci said Agritech's offerings are complementary "to the problems we're already trying to solve."
Why now? Agritech is a young company — less than a year old — and needs scale. CleanGo already has a global distribution footprint and sees remediation as a natural extension of its sustainable cleaning business. Agritech's production in Kelowna is set to ramp up to meet anticipated demand.
"We restore the lands back to their natural state in a much more efficient, timely fashion," said Adam Sexsmith, Agritech's acting chief executive officer and director, adding that the approach saves companies money.
What could go wrong? Agritech is still nascent, and scaling biological remediation products — which rely on living organisms like fungi and microbes — can be unpredictable. The company will also need to prove its technology works across diverse geographies and regulatory environments as it expands through CleanGo's network.
The signal: The deal reflects growing corporate appetite for nature-based solutions to pollution cleanup, an area that has historically relied on heavy machinery and chemical treatments. As environmental regulations tighten globally, biological remediation could become a fast-growing niche — and established distributors like CleanGo are positioning early to capture that demand.
