Mister IA raises €10M to scale AI training across Europe

What's the deal? Mister IA, a French consulting and training firm focused on generative AI, has raised €10M in a round led by 199 Ventures — the fund launched by Eskimoz founder Andréa Bensaid — and Momentum Invest. The company's co-founders, Vincent and Martin Pavanello, retain a large majority of the capital.

Founded in April 2023, Mister IA helps businesses audit, integrate, and train employees on generative AI tools. It also deploys embedded AI engineers directly into client teams. The company says it serves 1,000 B2B clients — mostly SMEs and mid-caps — plus around 50 large corporates including Vinci, Thales, BNP Paribas, Nestlé, Decathlon, and Louis Vuitton.

Mister IA now has 120 employees and generates €15M in annual revenue.

Why now? The pace of AI adoption is accelerating, and companies are scrambling to upskill their workforces. The founders argue that generative AI tools only deliver on their promise when businesses know how to integrate them and employees know how to use them — a gap that keeps widening as the technology evolves.

Three years in, the company says it has found product-market fit and views this round as the launchpad for European expansion. Acquisitions are also on the table to speed up growth.

What could go wrong? The AI training market is crowded and fast-moving. Consulting firms of all sizes — from Big Four players to boutique agencies — are racing to offer similar services. Mister IA will need to differentiate as it expands beyond France, where it already has brand recognition, into markets where it does not.

There's also the risk that AI tools become so intuitive that formal training becomes less necessary, shrinking the addressable market over time.

The signal: This deal reflects a broader trend: as enterprises move past AI experimentation and toward real deployment, the bottleneck is shifting from technology to people. Companies that bridge the skills gap — through training, change management, and hands-on integration — are attracting serious investor interest.

"We believe we are only at the very beginning of Mister IA's development, and our ambition is now to make it a European leader," the Pavanello brothers said.
